Female Incontinence

Urinary Incontinence refers to the loss of bladder control resulting in involuntary leakage of urine. Older women experience urinary incontinence more often than younger wornen.

Incontinence occurs when the urethral sphincter muscles aren't strong enough to hold back the urine or the muscles in the bladder wall suddenly contract and force urine out of the bladder.

URODYNAMIC STUDY

Dr Gailani holds a Certificate in Urodynamics from The Bristol Urological Institute based at St Mary's Hospital, London.This certificate is recognised by The International Continence Society (ICS). Following it's most current guidelines, Dr Gailani runs the Urodynamic Clinics at both The Canberra Hospital and Capital Women's Health at Deakin.
